Reserve means quality, selection, dedication and patience. Only the best Nebbiolo grapes are selected and vinified with knowledge for this Barolo D.O.C.G. Riserva, aged in total for 62 months, whereof 18 spent in oak barrels.

Grape variety: 100% Nebbiolo.
Area of production: 11 villages of the Barolo area.
Vinification: Crushing and destemming; fermentation in stainless steel at a controlled temperature of 28-30°C; maceration on the skins for 12 days, with daily pumping of the must over the cap.
Refining: Aged in casks of Slavonian oak, and then refined in the bottle.
Cellar life: 10 years.

The name derives from the fact that the harvest of nebbiolo is the last one, usually in October, when there is fog (in Italian “nebbia”), or because the berries are covered with a sort of patina, “pruina”, which would remember the haze.
