Denomination: Piemonte D.O.C. Brachetto.
Grape variety: 100% Brachetto.
Area of production: Asti, Cuneo and Alessandria districts.
Vinification: Crushing and destemming; cold maceration for 24 hours and pressing soft at controlled temperature of 2° C.
Refining: Fermentation in stainless steel tanks pressurized to 8 days. A months further refinement of yeasts. Filtration and bottling at low temperatures.
Cellar life: 2 years
This sweet red wine is ideal with a wide variety of desserts: chocolate cake, piedmontese bunet, strawberry tiramisu or the classic one with mascarpone, peaches stuffed with amaretto and cocoa. Currently it is also appreciated as an aperitif, served very fresh, a new version for the most curious, try it.
It’s a piedmont native aromatic grapes and in particular of the area of Acqui Terme. It was rediscovered in the ’90s and vinified to create a great dessert red wines.
